Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Material Handler Operator in Luton to operate material handling machines and process scrap materials on site. An immediate start is available, with a long-term opportunity and ongoing support from Acorn by Synergie throughout your assignment.

The role requires NPORS or CPCS qualification for 360 wheeled excavator, experience in demolition/recycling environments, and a reliable, safety-conscious work ethic. Works Monday to Friday, 7.30am–6pm.

Qualifications

• Valid NPORS or CPCS qualification for 360 wheeled excavator operation.
• Proven experience operating material handlers within a demolition, recycling or scrap environment.
• Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Good understanding of site safety procedures.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Able to work Monday to Friday, 7am–5pm.

Responsibilities

• Operate material handling machines including Sennebogen, Fuchs and Liebherr.
• Safely move, sort and process scrap and recycling materials.
• Carry out daily machinery checks and basic maintenance.
• Follow site health and safety procedures.
• Work as part of a team to meet site productivity targets.
• Maintain a safe and organised working environment.
