Job summary

CDL Personnel Ltd. recruits for a client in Hailsham seeking an experienced Machine Operator to operate a 13-ton Hitachi excavator with a selector grab and to pre-sort construction and demolition materials before loading the processing plant hopper.

Responsibilities include daily machine checks, reporting defects and adhering to all site health and safety procedures to maintain a safe, productive environment. Monday to Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm, long-term opportunity.

Qualifications

• NPORS or equivalent qualification required.
• Experience operating excavators is essential.
• Selector grab experience is highly desirable.
• Experience in construction, demolition, recycling or waste environments preferred.
• Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious.

Job description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Machine Operator to join their busy construction and demolition recycling operation in Hailsham!

The successful candidate will operate a 13-ton Hitachi excavator with a high-lift cab and selector grab, pre-sorting construction and demolition materials before loading them into the processing plant hopper.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 13T Hitachi excavator.
• Use a selector grab to pre-sort construction and demolition materials.
• Load sorted materials into the processing plant hopper.
• Carry out daily machine checks and report any defects.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a safe and productive working environment.

Requirements

• NPORS or equivalent/better qualification essential.
• Previous experience operating excavators.
• Selector grab experience highly desirable.
• Experience in construction, demolition, recycling or waste environments preferred.
• Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious.
