An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a highly motivated individual to join their Nursing workforce as a Band 7 nurse. This role involves providing exceptional care to children and their families, alongside taking on managerial responsibilities as the Operational Lead for the Paediatric team. Located at Glasgow Airport, this position offers the opportunity to work within a dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering high-quality transport and retrieval services. The Paediatric Retrieval Service is part of the Specialist Transport and Retrieval Service for Scotland – ScotSTAR. ScotSTAR includes the Scottish Neonatal Transport Service, the Scottish Paediatric Retrieval Service, the Emergency Medical Retrieval Service (EMRS), and the Air Ambulance Service. Managed by the Scottish Ambulance Service, ScotSTAR undertakes approximately 3,000 transfers annually. Most transfers are via dedicated road ambulances, with some by fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft provided by the Air Ambulance Service.
The teams consist of experienced transport nurses, ANNPs, Nurse Consultants, Transport Fellows, and Consultant Neonatologists.
