An established industry player is looking for a highly motivated individual to join its Paediatric Retrieval service. This role involves providing exceptional care to children and their families, along with managerial responsibilities as the Operational Lead for the Paediatric team. The position offers a unique opportunity to work within a dedicated service that undertakes thousands of transfers annually, ensuring the highest standards of care. The Paediatric Retrieval service is part of the Specialist Transport and Retrieval Service for Scotland – ScotSTAR. ScotSTAR includes the Scottish Neonatal Transport Service, the Scottish Paediatric Retrieval Service, the Emergency Medical Retrieval Service (EMRS), and the Air Ambulance Service. Managed by the Scottish Ambulance Service, ScotSTAR undertakes approximately 3,000 transfers annually. Most transfers are conducted via dedicated road ambulances, with some by fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft provided by the Air Ambulance Service. The teams comprise experienced transport nurses, ANNPs, Nurse Consultants, Transport Fellows, and Consultant Neonatologists.
The Paediatric Team aims to expand its nursing workforce and is seeking a highly motivated individual to join. The position is at Band 7, with responsibilities to provide high-quality care to children and their families. Candidates should have extensive paediatric intensive care and retrieval experience. This role also serves as the Operational Lead for the Paediatric team, with specific managerial responsibilities. The vacancy is open to Registered Nurses from adult or child branches.
