Job summary

RNLI in Scotland seeks an inspiring Head of Region to lead lifesaving operations, people and performance across the region. You will ensure frontline services align with the 2040 Strategy, working with lifeboat stations, lifeguards, volunteers and staff. The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and a drive for safety and excellence.

You will be based regionally in Perth or travel to RNLI locations as needed, with flexible working arrangements supported by the organisation.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience within a complex organisation.
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
• Experience in strategic planning, budgeting and reporting with assets and services.
• Familiarity with risk and compliance frameworks and working with volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lifesaving operations for Scotland across lifeboats, lifeguard and water safety.
• Collaborate with RNLI teams and Poole support to deliver the 2040 Strategy.
• Provide people-centred operational leadership to 45 lifeboat stations and 8 beaches.
• Oversee regional leadership team and manage stakeholder relationships.
