Job Description

BioTalent has teamed up with a Biotechnology / Cell & Gene Therapy organisation to find a Scientist II for their growing Analytical Team based in Bedfordshire. This role involves shaping the analytical backbone of innovative chemistry and biochemistry projects.

In this position, you'll work in the lab, conducting analytical experiments and analyzing data that support development efforts. Your work will include hands-on research, method development, data interpretation, and cross-functional collaboration across polymer chemistry, immunoassays, and biochemistry.

You will be responsible for:

  • Analytical testing of polymeric affinity reagents
  • Designing, executing, and reporting experiments
  • Supporting method development, validation, and quality control
  • Contributing to intellectual property and technical documentation
  • Maintaining compliance with ISO13485 standards and good laboratory practices
  • Using advanced tools such as FIDA, DLS, FTIR, and HPLC

You will bring the following qualifications:

  • A degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Engineering, or a related science
  • Ideally, 5 years of experience in an R&D or QC laboratory
  • Experience with analytical tools like BLI, SPR, HPLC, or UV-Vis
