Job summary

Lonza is seeking a Scientist for the Analytical Development team in Slough. The role focuses on performing a range of bioanalytical techniques, interpreting results, and supporting method development and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality medicines.

You will draft reports, maintain documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while working fully on-site with a collaborative team focused on precision and safety.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master’s qualification in Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline.
• Laboratory experience in analytical or bioanalytical techniques required.
• Understanding of bioanalytical methods.
• Strong planning and organisation to deliver work on time.

Responsibilities

• Execute experiments and critically analyse data to establish, pre-validate and develop bioanalytical methods (e.g., SPR, flow cytometry, ELISA, cell-based methods).
• Draft internal and customer reports.
• Support lab operations including equipment maintenance, documentation and safety actions.
• Assist in implementing new assay technologies and continuous improvement projects.
• Contribute to technical investigations/RCAs.
• Maintain high-quality documentation per quality systems.
• Train junior staff as required.
