Job summary

Marchant Recruitment in Manchester is seeking a dedicated Science Technician for a high-performing secondary academy in Bury. This full-time, permanent role starts immediately and offers an opportunity to support the Science department with practical laboratory logistics.

You will help meet practical requirements of the Science curriculum, maintain prep room and chemical stores, and support health and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all practical requirements for the Science curriculum are met with precision.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the prep room and chemical stores.
• Assist in the demonstration of practical techniques to students where required.
• Record and manage the disposal of hazardous waste according to regulations.
• Support the department in ensuring all Health & Safety protocols are followed.
