Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is partnering with a welcoming Cambridge-area school to recruit a reliable Science Technician who can support high-quality practical science lessons and keep the science laboratories running smoothly.

The ideal candidate will have the right to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS, a UK science degree or overseas equivalent, and solid Health & Safety knowledge, with experience in a UK school lab.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assisting and preparing practical lessons alongside the Science Teachers.
• Ensuring equipment and materials are safely stored when not in use.
• Guiding staff and pupils in correct Health & Safety policies.
• Maintaining and repairing all resources when required.
• Keeping track of what is out of stock and making the necessary orders when needed.
• Disposing of hazardous waste in a safe manner.
