Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking a Science Technician for a coeducational secondary school and sixth form in south west London. This part-time role runs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8:30am–3pm, and is initially temporary.

The job involves equipment organisation and support for practical lessons, with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance. Suitable candidates include science graduates with lab experience or experienced science technicians.

A Science Technician is needed in a Coeducational Secondary School & Sixth Form in South West London.

This Science Technician position will be part time (Tuesdays and Wednesdays only) and temporary in the first instance.

Working hours for this Science Technician post will be 8:30am to 3pm.

Responsibilities for this Science Technician role will include but not be limited to:

• Organisation, preparation, repair, cleaning, transport and collection of equipment and materials.
• Assisting and supporting in practical lessons and enrichment activities
• Ensuring full implementation of Health and Safety regulations, including carrying out risk assessments

The rates of pay for this Science Technician position will be between £85.50 and £100 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

The School

A Mixed Free School for pupils aged 11 to 18 years old, located in the London Borough of Merton.

Established in 2014, there are now just under 700 pupils on enrolment.

They teach all pupils Spanish and Latin.

Requirements

Applications are welcome if you're a Science Graduate with lab experience or an experienced Science Technician.

You're also welcome to apply if you're a British trained Science Technician or overseas trained Science Technician.
