Job summary

The Howard Partnership Trust is seeking a dedicated Science Technician to join its dynamic team at Oxted School. You will provide practical support within science laboratories, assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, and ensure equipment and materials are ready for use.

You will help maintain the safe running of the science curriculum, support health and safety standards, and contribute to the overall efficiency of laboratories and preparations for demonstrations.

Qualifications

• GCSEs or equivalent, plus relevant practical experience.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent).
• Practical knowledge or experience relevant to the role, including awareness of COSHH requirements.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with staff and students.
• Competent in using IT tools and basic administrative tasks.
• Ability to prioritize and plan your workload effectively.
• Previous experience in a similar operational or support role is beneficial.
