Newport Girls’ High School is seeking a Science Technician to support our Science Faculty. The role is 15 hours per week during term time, designed to fit around school schedules and to assist practical science sessions.

The post is NJC Grade 5 with an actual salary range of £10,156 to £10,841 per annum (FTE £30,023 to £32,046). The successful applicant should be organised, professional and proactive, working as part of a committed team.

Science Technician - 15 Hours Per Week - Term Time Only

We are delighted to invite applications for this important role within our ambitious and thriving school. As Newport Girls' High School continues to grow, we are seeking an organised, highly professional and proactive individual to join our team and help support the Science Faculty.

Our trustee board is incredibly supportive and experienced. Their drive and ambition for the school keeps us on our toes, but they are passionate about enhancing opportunities for all students. We are heavily oversubscribed and hold an annual entrance test. We have, on average, 120 girls in each year group. The sixth form is also oversubscribed and we take students from a number of 11-16 and 11-18 high schools as well, of course, as our own Year 11s.

Salary and Role Details:

• - 15 hours per week. Hours flexible but must include a Wednesday). Term time only.
