Job summary

Ladybridge High School is looking to appoint two skilled Science Technicians to support the Science Department. The candidates should have practical knowledge of science resources and experience working with children. The school offers a friendly atmosphere, with options for flexible hours and job shares.

Priority is given to strong interpersonal and communication skills, though previous experience in a similar post is not essential as full training will be provided.

We are seeking to appoint two suitably skilled Science Technicians to co-ordinate the use of practical resources and provide technical assistance to the Science Department. We are looking for exceptional candidates with:

• A practical knowledge of the use of equipment, chemicals and science resources
• Experience of working within a science-related environment or with a background in science
• Experience of working with children or young people
• Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly helpful manner
• The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication

Previous experience in a similar post would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Salary: Grade D SCP 6 - 11. Actual salary £21,731.10 to £23,531.34 per annum

Job Type: 37 hours per week, term time only. (Part time and job share will also be considered)
