An educational institution in Greater London is seeking an enthusiastic Science Technician to provide technical support for practical science lessons. The ideal candidate will manage laboratory resources and ensure safety standards are met while supporting engaging teaching across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. This role involves working 35 hours per week during term time, with a commitment to staff development and a London Living Wage offer.
The purpose of this role is to provide high-quality technical support to the Science department, ensuring that practical lessons run smoothly, safely, and effectively. We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Science Technician who can prepare and maintain equipment, resources, and laboratories to support engaging teaching and learning across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. We would particularly welcome applicants with a background in Physics, who can bring additional expertise in supporting A Level practical's. You will work closely with teaching staff to set up and clear away practical activities, manage stock and resources, and ensure that health and safety standards are consistently met. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a strong commitment to supporting pupils' learning. The role is offered on 35 hours per week on a 44-week basis. Office hours are 08:00 - 16:00, Monday to Friday.
