Job summary

The Supply Register, in partnership with Birley Academy in Sheffield, is seeking a Science Teacher for flexible supply to cover KS3 and KS4. You will deliver engaging lessons, adapt planning, and maintain a positive classroom while assessing students and providing timely feedback.

QTS or equivalent and an Enhanced DBS are preferred; weekly pay and ongoing CPD support your professional development. Join a supportive school environment with competitive pay and opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Effective and professional communication.
• Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS on Update Service.

Science Teacher – Birley Academy, Sheffield

The Supply Register is working in partnership with Birley Academy to recruit a Science Teacher on a flexible supply basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about Science and committed to helping students achieve their full potential across Key Stage 3 and 4.

The role includes:

• Delivering engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Planning and adapting lessons to meet learner needs
• Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment
• Assessing, marking, and providing timely feedback
• Managing behaviour in line with school policies
• Collaborating with colleagues across the Science department

We’re looking for candidates who:

• Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Have experience teaching Science at secondary level
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Communicate effectively and professionally
• Hold high expectations for student achievement and behaviour
• Hold (or are willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
