Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed Science Teacher to work across Redcar's secondary schools on a full-time basis, starting in September. The role suits a science specialist who thrives in varied classroom environments and is passionate about delivering engaging lessons that support student progress.

You will teach KS3 and KS4, manage behaviour, and deliver pre-planned lessons with a focus on pupil progression, while collaborating with staff and taking advantage of CPD and long-term

Qualifications

Job description

Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed Teacher of Science to work in secondary schools across Redcar on a full-time basis, starting from September.

This role is ideal for a dedicated science specialist who thrives in varied classroom environments and is passionate about delivering engaging lessons that support student progress.

As a Science Teacher, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and supported in their learning.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Teaching Science to mixed-ability classes across KS3 and KS4
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Creating a positive and purposeful learning environment
  • Assessing progress and providing clear, constructive feedback
  • Supporting students with additional needs, including SEN
  • Working collaboratively with school staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils

This is a full-time opportunity offering consistency and the chance to gain experience across a range of school settings.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
