Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate Science Teacher to join our team in the Northumberland area for temporary positions starting September 2026. You will plan and deliver KS3 and KS4 science across multiple schools and have the opportunity to move into longer-term roles.

You will assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with colleagues to support a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

  • QTS or QTLS preferred.
  • Experienced teaching science at secondary level.
  • Willingness to travel to schools in and around Newcastle/Northumberland.

About the Role

Are you a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher looking for your next opportunity? We’re currently seeking a committed Science Teacher to join Teaching Personnel to work in various secondary school in the Northumberland area. These are temporary positions, with potential to move into a longer-term role, is a fantastic chance to inspire students, share your love of science, and make a real impact in the classroom.

As a Science Teacher, you’ll:
  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community
  • Bring energy, creativity, and enthusiasm to your teaching
What We’re Looking For
  • A qualified Science Teacher (QTS or QTLS preferred)
  • Experienced teaching Science at secondary level
  • Passionate about inspiring a love for science in young people
  • Reliable, adaptable, and able to commit to the role through to July
  • Able to travel to schools in and around Newcastle/Northumberland
