TeacherActive is assisting a mainstream secondary school in Newport to recruit a driven Science Teacher for a long-term temporary role. You will teach KS3 and KS4, prepare students for GCSEs, and deliver engaging, safe practical lessons while following the school’s schemes of learning.

The ideal candidate holds QTS with a Science specialism, has KS3/KS4 experience, and demonstrates strong lesson planning, communication and classroom management skills.

The Headteacher is looking to appoint a driven Science Teacher on a long-term temporary basis. The successful Science Teacher will teach across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, including preparing pupils for their GCSE examinations. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, follow the school’s schemes of learning and assess pupil progress to help students achieve their full potential.

The successful Science Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Science specialism
• Experience teaching Science up to Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Confidence delivering safe and engaging practical lessons
• Strong communication, organisational and lesson-planning skills
• Excellent classroom management
