The Role

A secondary school in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join its successful Science department from September 2026 on a long-term supply basis.

The successful candidate will teach Science across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. You will encourage curiosity, scientific enquiry, and academic achievement while supporting students in developing the knowledge and practical skills required for success in their GCSE Science qualifications.

Working within a supportive department, you will plan and deliver high-quality lessons, assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You will maintain high expectations for behaviour, participation, and attainment while helping students develop confidence and enthusiasm for science.

The Candidate
  • Hold QTS or be an ECT
  • Have experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4
  • Be confident teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be committed to supporting student progress and raising attainment
  • Have a genuine passion for science and inspiring young people
