Science Teacher – Sunderland

Protocol Education are recruiting dynamic and knowledgeable Science Teachers to work in a variety of secondary schools across Sunderland. We’re proud to support schools in key areas including Fulwell, North Hylton, Fatfield, Ashbrook, Barnes, The Herringtons, Pennywell, and Sunniside—each with their own unique ethos but a shared passion for STEM education.

Whether your expertise lies in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science, we want to hear from educators who can deliver exciting lessons that spark curiosity and achievement.

Your role will include:
  • Delivering KS3 and KS4 Science lessons across mixed ability groups

  • Using practical and theoretical methods to engage learners

  • Promoting scientific enquiry and critical thinking

  • Supporting school-wide initiatives to raise attainment

What you’ll need:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent in secondary science)

  • Excellent curriculum knowledge in one or more science disciplines

  • A positive attitude and commitment to pupil development

  • A current DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
