Job summary

Academics Agency is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to work across supportive secondary schools in Doncaster and South Yorkshire. This PAYE-only position offers competitive day rates and flexibility to suit full-time or part-time hours, with a temporary contract.

You will deliver engaging science lessons, support students with SEN, and collaborate with teaching staff to promote curiosity and confidence in learning.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential and required for secondary science teaching.
• Experience or strong interest in SEN students is desirable.
• Creative, adaptable and resilient teaching approach.
• Enhanced DBS via Update Service or willingness to apply, safeguarding commitment.
• Right to work in the UK and two positive teaching references.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging science lessons and develop curriculum content for a range of abilities.
• Work with Teaching Assistants and SENCOs to adapt lessons for students with SEN or additional needs.
• Encourage discussion, resilience and transferable skills as students progress toward GCSEs.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential, with a passion for teaching Science at secondary level.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy.
