Job summary

Coba Education Ltd. in Oundle, Northamptonshire, is recruiting a Science Technician for a full-time, ASAP start. The role is initially until October half-term with potential extension. You will prepare equipment, support demonstrations, maintain equipment and manage stock while ensuring health and safety in a school laboratory.

The position offers an immediate start in a busy educational environment, with DBS update on the service or willingness to obtain one, and on-site facilities.

Qualifications

• Has previous experience working in a laboratory, educational setting or similar environment.
• Is organised, reliable and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Has a strong understanding of health and safety practices.
• Works well both independently and as part of a team.
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Is passionate about supporting young people's learning.

Responsibilities

• Preparing equipment, materials and resources for practical science lessons
• Supporting teachers with demonstrations and practical activities
• Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring it is stored correctly
• Managing stock levels and ordering supplies when required
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
• Assisting with the organisation and upkeep of science laboratories and preparation areas
