TeacherActive is seeking a Science Technician for a popular secondary school in Harlow to support practical science lessons and ensure safety in demonstrations. Physics or Chemistry skills are especially desirable, along with strong organisation and attention to detail.

The role is permanent with an immediate start, offering CPD opportunities and a supportive working environment in a school rated Good by Ofsted.

Qualifications

• Relevant science knowledge or qualifications.
• Experience working within a science, laboratory or educational environment.
• Physics or Chemistry skills are desirable.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A good understanding of health and safety within a practical environment.
• A highly motivated, enthusiastic and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the Science department with the preparation, organisation and safe delivery of practical lessons.
• Assist with health and safety compliance during experiments and demonstrations.
