Job summary

Jesmond Park Academy in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Technician to join the science faculty. You will work under the guidance of the Senior Technician and Head of Faculty to develop, adapt, test and prepare resources for practical experiments across all science disciplines and key stages.

You will manage daily routines, including stock checks, cleaning, repair, and monitoring of equipment, with a strong focus on health, safety and risk assessment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in science technician is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to manage changing tasks and maintain safety and stock control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, adapt and trials of technical resources for classroom experiments across science disciplines.
• Assist with stock control, cleaning, repair and monitoring of equipment.
• Support the science faculty and maintain health, safety and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with the Senior Technician and Head of Faculty to deliver practical demonstrations.
