A high-achieving secondary school in Stockport is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Science Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time role for the full academic year, with the potential for a permanent contract or a route into teacher training.
This is an ideal opportunity for graduates in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or a related field who are considering a career in teaching or educational psychology. You will work closely with teachers and the science department to provide classroom support, lead small group interventions, and assist students in understanding key scientific concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students in Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
Lead small group and 1:1 intervention sessions to reinforce learning
Assist in preparing and organising practical experiments and resources
Provide targeted support for students with additional learning needs
Foster a positive and engaging learning environment

Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full academic year, full-time
Pay: £89.38 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
