SEN Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Hyde - September 2025 Start - £89.38 to £100 per day

Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have the patience, empathy, and dedication to make a real difference in a secondary school setting?

A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Hyde is seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their support team from September 2025. This is a full-time role providing vital in-class and one-to-one support for pupils with a range of additional needs including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities.

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday, term-time only)

  • Pay: £89.38 - £100 per day (depending on experience)

  • Provide individual and small group support to students with identified SEN

  • Work closely with the SENCO, class teachers and outside professionals to implement individual support strategies

  • Help pupils to access the curriculum and achieve their potential in a mainstream classroom

  • Support emotional regulation and build positive relationships with students

  • Contribute to the development of a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

  • Have experience supporting young people with SEN (either in a school, care, or youth setting)

  • Be calm, patient, and able to build trust with students

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of inclusive practice

  • Be committed to helping every student thrive, both academically and socially
