A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Hyde is seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their support team from September 2025. This is a full-time role providing vital in-class and one-to-one support for pupils with a range of additional needs including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities.
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday, term-time only)
Pay: £89.38 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
Provide individual and small group support to students with identified SEN
Work closely with the SENCO, class teachers and outside professionals to implement individual support strategies
Help pupils to access the curriculum and achieve their potential in a mainstream classroom
Support emotional regulation and build positive relationships with students
Contribute to the development of a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
Have experience supporting young people with SEN (either in a school, care, or youth setting)
Be calm, patient, and able to build trust with students
Demonstrate a good understanding of inclusive practice
Be committed to helping every student thrive, both academically and socially
