An ambitious and supportive secondary school in Greater Manchester is seeking a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team in September. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the classroom while making a real difference to students' learning and confidence in science.
Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and practical science lessons across Key Stages 3 & 4
Working 1:1 or with small groups to help students grasp key scientific concepts
Assisting with experiments, lab prep, classroom resources, and safety procedures
Promoting a love of learning in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
Helping students prepare for exams and assessments through targeted support
A recent graduate in a Science-related subject (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Environmental Science)
Passionate about education and inspiring the next generation of scientists
Confident, enthusiastic, and proactive in a busy classroom environment
Strong communicator with a calm and supportive approach
Previous experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential
Competitive daily pay (£89-£100 depending on experience)
