Job summary

The post holder will join the Engagement and Impact team at the Co-Centre for Sustainable Food Systems, a collaborative research centre funded by Research Ireland, UKRI, and DAERA, and managed by QUB, UCD, and the University of Sheffield. The role involves creating and coordinating learning programmes for children and young people and developing engagement activities with a broad range of stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A primary degree in a relevant science subject or equivalent experience in science communication or education.
• Significant recent experience in education, science communication, or a multidisciplinary research environment.
• Proven ability to develop learning resources that translate complex research into accessible content.
• Experience using social media for communication and outreach.
• Demonstrated success in delivering engagement activities for stakeholders and non-academic audiences.
• Strong organisational, decision-making, problem-solving and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and report writing.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving project needs.

Responsibilities

• Create and coordinate learning programmes for children and young people.
• Develop engagement activities with a broad range of stakeholders, including researchers, schools and community groups.
• Coordinate and deliver strategic projects in collaboration with diverse partners.
• Work five days a week in the office and community setting at the Co-Centre for Sustainable Food Systems.
