Job summary

Ribbons & Reeves is seeking a motivated Science Graduate to join Havering's high-achieving secondary school as a Science Academic Mentor. You will support students across KS3-KS5 with targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions, helping raise attainment and confidence in Science.

The role offers valuable classroom experience and strong progression toward teacher training, working alongside experienced Science teachers and leaders to make a real impact on student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Biology or Physics from a leading university.
• Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills.
• Passion for education and supporting young people.

Responsibilities

• Support KS3–KS5 students with 1:1 and small-group interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers to raise attainment and confidence in Science.
• Develop hands-on classroom skills while preparing for teacher training.
