Job summary

Blenheim Schools is seeking a Home-to-School Driver to join our transport team at Huddersfield Grammar School. The role is part-time, permanent term-time, with duties including transporting students, performing vehicle checks, and maintaining transport records.

The position requires a PSV/PCV D1 licence, a full UK driving licence held for at least 24 months, and a current Driver CPC. Start date October 2026; 20 hours per week across term time, with early morning and late afternoon shifts.

Qualifications

• PSV/PCV D1 licence is required.

• Strong communication with adults and students.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and defect reporting.
• Follow planned routes and ensure journeys are safe, efficient and in line with procedures.
• Maintain accurate passenger registers and transport records.
• Support upkeep and scheduling of vehicle maintenance and servicing.
• Act as a professional ambassador for the school, building positive relationships.
