Job summary

Huddersfield Grammar School is seeking a reliable Home-to-School Driver to join our transport team. You will transport students on designated routes, perform daily vehicle inspections and keep accurate records.

The role is term-time, permanent and part-time (20 hours per week), with morning and late-afternoon shifts. A valid PSV/PCV D1 licence, full UK driving licence (at least 24 months) and Driver CPC are required.

Qualifications

• A confident and experienced driver with a valid PSV/PCV D1 licence and Driver CPC.
• Full UK driving licence held for at least 24 months.
• Reliable, punctual and able to communicate with both adults and students.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and update transport records.
• Follow planned routes and maintain safety and punctuality.
• Act as an ambassador for the school in the local community.
