Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of North Northamptonshire Council for a Transport Supply Officer to join the Home to School Transport Team in Kettering. The role is a hybrid, temporary 12‑week assignment with a pay rate of £16.89 per hour and a 37‑hour week.

You will assess eligibility for home to school transport, coordinate safe and reliable services and communicate with parents, schools and providers.

Qualificações

• Experience in a fast-paced administrative, planning, logistics or transport environment.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to analyse information from multiple sources and make informed decisions.
• Confident managing a busy workload and prioritising competing demands.
• Excellent communication with parents, schools, transport providers and colleagues.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Understanding safeguarding, confidentiality and GDPR compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Assess applications for home to school transport and determine eligibility in line with council policies and statutory guidance.
• Review information from parents, schools, EHCPs and other professionals to identify transport needs and safety considerations.
• Arrange suitable transport provision for SEND and mainstream students, ensuring safety and standards.
• Allocate students to routes and services, maintain records and passenger information.
• Arrange and administer bus passes and travel support with timely communication to parents, carers and schools.
• Collaborate with schools, transport providers and internal departments to deliver effective transport arrangements.
• Respond to enquiries and resolve issues in a professional, customer-focused manner.
• Maintain accurate databases, records and reports while complying with GDPR and safeguarding requirements.
