Job summary

Academics is seeking flexible Teaching Assistants to support a friendly Special Needs school in South London, near Sutton and Croydon. The role covers short-term and longer-term supply bookings for pupils aged 8–16 with a range of SEN, including mild/severe learning difficulties, Autism and Speech and Language Difficulties.

Experience with SEN is not essential; a caring, friendly personality and a desire to help children progress are valued.

Job description

A friendly and welcoming school catering for pupils with Special Needs in South London on the border of Sutton and Croydon needs teaching assistants on a regular basis for short-term and longer-term supply bookings.

The school is well established and highly regarded in the community. Pupils have a range of SEN, including; mild and severe learning difficulties, Autism and Speech and Language Difficulties. They are aged between 8 and 16 years old. Experience with SEN is not essential, personality is more important. If you are caring, friendly, enjoy working with children and a lovely bunch of staff, this could be the place for you!

The school has a lovely feel about it and the children are wonderful. It can be very rewarding helping them make progress with their education and skills for life.

If you are available for work during school hours (8.30am-4pm) and can work at least 3 days per week.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy
