Job summary

Academics is seeking a compassionate School Support Worker in Welwyn Garden City to support learners with autism and additional needs in a specialist setting.

You will provide 1:1 and small group assistance, help non-verbal pupils access education, and collaborate with teachers and therapists to create an inclusive environment. Personal care may be required.

Role starts in September with temporary ad-hoc opportunities and potential temp-to-perm for the right candidate.

School Support Worker - Welwyn Garden City - School Support Worker- Welwyn Garden City

Are you a compassionate and resilient School Support Worker looking for a rewarding role in the Welwyn Garden City area? We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join a specialist educational setting supporting children with additional and complex needs.

This role is ideal for a School Support Worker who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with autism and communication difficulties. You will be supporting non-verbal learners, helping them access education in a nurturing and structured environment.

Key Details

• Location: Welwyn Garden City
• Pay: £13.68 - £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
• Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
• Contract: Temporary ad-hoc work available, with temp-to-perm opportunities for the right candidate
• Start: September

• Calm, patient, and empathetic nature with a genuine passion for supporting young people
