Job summary

St Benet Biscop Catholic Academy in Bedlington is seeking a calm, self-motivated Support Assistant – Level 4 to support students with behaviour, self-regulation, and re-engagement in lessons. The role covers supervising enhanced provisions, delivering structured interventions, and reporting progress to the pastoral team.

The post is permanent, 37 hours per week, term time plus five days, with a competitive salary and access to training, enhanced sick pay, LGPS, and salary sacrifice schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience in supporting pupils with disengagement and behavioural challenges.
• Ability to deliver structured interventions and monitor progress.
• Confident communicator with a calm, supportive approach.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in enhanced provisions.
• Deliver interventions to promote self-regulation and reintegration into lessons.
• Track impact of interventions and report to pastoral team.
