Protocol Education is recruiting a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in North Shields. This role is ideal for graduates, youth workers and those seeking experience supporting young people within education.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and training required.
• Experience with youth work is beneficial.
• Willingness to undergo safeguarding checks.

Responsibilities

• Support students who require additional behavioural and emotional support.
• Build positive and professional relationships with young people.
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Help students develop resilience, confidence and self-regulation.
• Support pupils with SEMH needs, ASC and ADHD.
• Deliver targeted one-to-one and small-group interventions.
• Work with pastoral, SEND and safeguarding teams.
• Be a positive role model throughout the school day.
