Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a reliable School Caretaker for a full‑time, long‑term position at a Solihull school. Hours are 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with potential flexibility to suit school needs.

You will maintain the site, carry out minor repairs, ensure safety and cleanliness, open/close the premises, and liaise with contractors to support daily operations. Experience in caretaking or facilities is desirable, and safeguarding checks will be completed.

• Reliable, responsible and punctual.
• Practical and confident carrying out general maintenance.
• Able to work independently and use initiative.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Previous caretaking, maintenance or facilities experience would be desirable.
• Experience working in a school or similar environment would be an advantage.

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and proactive Caretaker to join our school team on a full-time, long-term basis.

The successful candidate will help ensure the school site is safe, secure, clean and well maintained, providing a welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.
