Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our team across secondary schools in Preston and the Fylde Coast, Lancashire.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of school premises, ensuring safety, security, and a welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. Key duties include opening and securing sites, performing routine maintenance, health and safety checks, coordinating contractors, and supporting lettings and events.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Caretaker, Facilities Officer, or similar role is essential.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and site compliance requirements.
• Strong practical maintenance and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Working Hours

Successful applicants must be flexible, as working hours will often fall outside of the standard school day. This may include:

• Early morning openings
• Late afternoon or evening lock-ups

• Occasional holiday and weekend work where required
