Job summary

Woking High School is seeking a Site and Compliance Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance and safety of the school site, including buildings, grounds and facilities. The role covers future development, budgeting for rolling maintenance, and occasional out-of-hours work in a hands-on capacity.

The successful candidate will lead site operations, respond to emergencies and ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, while maintaining a welcoming environment for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Excellent working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
• Practical, hands-on approach to site management.
• Leadership and forward planning for maintenance and safety.
• Flexibility with working hours, including occasional evenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the operation, maintenance, safety and development of the school site.
• Keep buildings, grounds and facilities safe, secure, compliant and welcoming for students, staff and visitors.
• Contribute directly to the school's operational and maintenance needs.
• Respond to emergencies.
• Support activities outside normal school hours.
• Manage future site developments.
• Deliver the rolling maintenance plan on time and within budget.
