Job summary

Randstad Education in Harrogate is seeking a dedicated School Site Manager/Caretaker to ensure a safe, secure, and well-maintained learning environment for pupils with SEND.

You will oversee day-to-day site management, maintenance, safety compliance, and contractor coordination, with opportunities to influence upcoming improvement projects over 12–24 months.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in site or facilities management; school experience desirable.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and building compliance.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive, hands-on approach; able to work independently.
• Commitment to supporting inclusive education for pupils with SEND.

School Site Manager/Caretaker

Full Time / Permanent

Based in Harrogate

This is a key role in ensuring the school environment is safe, secure, and conducive to learning for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school site, including maintenance, health and safety compliance, security, and overseeing contractors. You'll work closely with school leaders and Trust colleagues to ensure the highest standards of site operations.

There are also a number of exciting improvement projects scheduled to take place over the next 12-24 months, which you'll have direct influence over.
