Job summary

St Mary’s College Voluntary Catholic Academy is seeking a dedicated Site Facilities Officer to join the Estates team. This permanent role supports the day-to-day operation of the school site, ensuring a safe, secure and welcoming environment for staff and pupils.

You will report to the Site Manager and contribute to maintenance, security and compliance, with 37 hours per week across rotating shifts. A practical, hands-on approach and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Proactive and self-motivated with a flexible approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good health and safety practices understanding.
• Experience in facilities or site maintenance is desirable.
• Strong record-keeping using IT systems

Responsibilities

• Ensure the security of the school buildings and surrounding grounds
• Respond promptly and effectively to site-related requests
• Carry out general maintenance and minor repair work
• Assist with the heating, lighting and overall upkeep of the premises
• Undertake cleaning duties as required
• Maintain accurate records using IT systems
• Support compliance with Health & Safety regulations
