Job summary

Contract Personnel Limited is seeking a Site Officer for a primary school in Thetford. You will ensure the site, buildings and facilities are maintained to a safe, high standard and support a welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

You will work Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:25pm (1 hour lunch), totaling 37 hours per week, with a focus on practical site maintenance, safety compliance, and efficient operation of the school site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance or site-based role.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Confidence using IT systems and software.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance is desirable.
• A proactive and practical approach to maintaining a safe and well-presented environment.

Responsibilities

• Unlocking the site.
• Check the heating / water works on arrival.
• Gritting pathways in adverse weather.
• Sweeping leaves.
• General maintenance - changing light bulbs, fixing door handles, etc
• Put bins out
• Help unload deliveries and put in the stockroom
• Update the computer system with site checks
