Job summary

Seymour Park Community Primary School seeks an Assistant Site Manager to support the day-to-day running of our vibrant Old Trafford school. You will work with the Senior Site Manager to maintain a safe, clean, and well-maintained site for our children and community.

Experience in caretaking or maintenance is desirable but not essential, with responsibility for minor repairs, security, and supervising contractors. A proactive approach and good IT skills will help you thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, proactive and resourceful candidate.
• Ability to oversee cleaning, maintenance and contractors.
• Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Be hardworking, enthusiastic, and resourceful, with the technical competence to handle minor repairs, groundskeeping and maintenance tasks independently.
• Maintain a safe, secure and clean environment to the highest standards.
• Have knowledge of health and safety responsibilities, safe systems of work practices and risk assessments.
• Oversee the cleaning team, contractors on site and external compliance checks.
• Act as a keyholder with the responsibility for site security.
• Be professional, positive and proactive, taking pride in their work and forming good relationships with our school community.
• Effectively manage workload, prioritise tasks and have good computer skills.
• Be supportive of our core values and our vision as a GOLD UNICEF Rights Respecting school.
• Have an understanding of the challenges and rewards of working in a vibrant and diverse urban community.
