An Outstanding secondary school in Redbridge is looking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Science Technician to support the Science department starting from September 2025.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-resourced and forward-thinking school, working in a collaborative environment that values technical support as key to student success in science education.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing materials and equipment for practical science lessons

Supporting teachers during science experiments and practicals

Ensuring laboratories are clean, safe, and well-stocked

Managing stock, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment

Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

Previous experience as a science technician (preferred) or in a laboratory setting

Strong understanding of health and safety in a school science environment

Good organisational skills and attention to detail

Safer recruitment process in line with DfE regulations

A background in science (education or work-based) is desirable
