Job summary

St James Catholic Primary School, part of Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust, invites applications for a part-time School Safeguarding Caseworker Family and Pastoral Support. Role is 28 hours per week, 41 weeks per year, permanent, term-time plus two weeks.

The post focuses on safeguarding, welfare advocacy, and collaborative multi-agency work to support vulnerable pupils, promote attendance, and deliver parenting programmes such as Webster-Stratton and Parent Gym.

Qualifications

• Experience or clear interest in safeguarding and child welfare preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with families, schools and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for safeguarding and child protection concerns and coordinate information sharing.
• Deliver parenting programmes such as Webster-Stratton and Parent Gym.
• Support improved school attendance and welfare through a comprehensive school support service.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents/carers and agencies to ensure smooth transitions and appropriate progress for vulnerable pupils.
