Role: Attendance Officer

Academy: To work across Adwick, Danum, Carlton, Shafton and Hemsworth

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary (Actual Salary): £23,389 - £24,475

Working Pattern: 37 hours Monday - Friday TT plus 5 days

As an Attendance Officer, you will be crucial in implementing whole-school strategies designed to improve attendance levels and actively reduce persistent absence. This role blends operational duties—such as conducting home visits and late gate patrols with essential administrative support, requiring resilient engagement with students and parents to address attendance barriers.

We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Attendance Officer, who can work in a fast-paced environment, providing strategic, operational and administrative support to promote whole school attendance strategies, improve attendance levels and reduce persistent absence in line with Academy targets. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and play a key role in ensuring school compliance with Safeguarding procedures and requirements. You will also be a key liaison point between a range of agencies and the academy.
