Job summary

Primrose Hill School in London is seeking a proactive Facilities Officer to join our dedicated site team. You will oversee security, minor repairs, cleaning supervision, and routine safety checks to maintain our historic Victorian building.

Key duties include coordinating contractors, managing a small team of cleaners, ensuring fire and electrical safety compliance, and keeping accurate records of assets and safety checks. A strong team player with attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Flexibility and reliability are essential.

• Experience in a school or similar environment is preferred.
• Ability to organise and manage a diverse workload.

Responsibilities

• Security, minor repairs, painting, building shelves and general maintenance of school.
• Managing a team of cleaners and performing emergency cleaning.
• Monitoring the work of outside contractors.
• Occasionally transporting monies to and from the bank.
• As an emergency key holder, call outs to school site to deal with emergencies.
• Health and Safety Risk Assessment / Fire Risk Assessment and Electrical Safety testing (PAT).
• Carrying out checks, monitoring and completing paperwork for Health and Safety aspects including asbestos, COSHH and legionella’s, and maintaining inventory of school assets.
