Job summary

St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust, based at St Philip Howard Catholic Voluntary Academy, seeks a practical caretaker to help maintain safe and welcoming environments across the Glossop area.

You will be involved in general maintenance, security, health and safety checks, and day-to-day premises management to support multiple schools, colleagues and pupils in the trust community.

Qualifications

• Experience of general maintenance, caretaking or premises management would be valuable.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and team-focused approach.
• Organised and reliable with a proactive mindset to support busy school environments.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking general maintenance and minor repairs to keep buildings safe and well presented.
• Support site security and health and safety inspections, identifying risks.
• Provide practical caretaking and porterage; assist with day-to-day premises management.
• Monitor heating and building systems; promote energy efficiency and sustainable choices.
