Job summary

St Philip's Catholic Primary School in Arundel is seeking a Premises Manager for the site. The role is part-time (17–20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, pattern to be agreed) and involves maintaining buildings, security and presentation, with close work alongside the Headteacher and Office Manager to keep the environment safe and welcoming for pupils and staff.

The successful candidate will have practical maintenance/premises-management experience, a good understanding of health and safety, and

Qualifications

• Has practical maintenance, trade or premises management experience.
• Has a good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Is organised, self-motivated and able to prioritise workloads effectively.
• Has good IT, communication and record-keeping skills.
• Can work independently and use initiative while also contributing as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the school buildings and grounds to a high standard.
• Managing site security, including acting as a keyholder and overseeing opening and closing procedures.
• Undertaking repairs, maintenance and refurbishment work.
• Carrying out regular health and safety checks, inspections and record keeping, including fire safety and Legionella monitoring.
• Liaising with contractors and overseeing maintenance projects.
• Ensuring the school environment is safe, clean, tidy and conducive to learning.
• Supporting school events, lettings and day-to-day operational needs.
