Job summary

Finchley Catholic High School is seeking a Site Manager to lead a small team and maintain the school site to the highest standards. You will manage buildings and services, support ongoing site development, and work with contractors to ensure safety and compliance.

This full-time role runs 52 weeks per year, 36 hours per week with shifts including early mornings, evenings and Saturdays; accommodation is available after probation and the school offers a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing buildings and a site with a good knowledge of services and compliance.
• Strong IT skills to manage records and systems online.
• The ability to undertake small scale repairs and maintenance.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• A ‘can-do’ approach to running day to day operations with the flexibility to adapt at short notice.
• Line management experience and/or experience of overseeing third party contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of two caretakers and one cleaner to maintain the school site to the highest standards.
• Play a key role in supporting the development of the site as the school heads towards its centenary.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure compliance with services and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors and manage maintenance tasks to minimise disruption to school activities.
